CARVING & CONCEPTS

A Few fun extracurricular projects

Creative EXPERIENCE IS ALL

Handmade, Heartfelt, and Shared.

In a world of endless screens, I return to the tactile joy of making—carving, whittling, sewing, and dreaming up tangible creations meant to be shared. This brand is a celebration of craft, connection, and the quiet magic of working with your hands. Whether it’s a hand-whittled cocktail stirrer, a hand-sewn textile, or a thoughtfully designed space for creatives to gather, the ethos is simple: slow down, make something real, and savor it together. For fellow makers and kindred spirits who believe the best things aren’t just made… they’re lived in.

STONE & WOOD CARVING

PLAYING WITH SCULPTURE IS therapy

I’ve been keeping my mind and hands busy, creating various objects. I carved some ripples into stone. I love the idea of making a still moment in time from something that is typically in perpetual motion. Seeing liquid carved into stone is particularly satisfying.

Also, using a simple tool like my trusty old pocket knife and a well appointed piece of wood is a fantastic way to pass the time in a healthy and creative way. I studied the piece of wood and then I saw something—a dragon! And, voila, half an hour later my fierce (or friendly?) little dragon friend came to life. I think I’ll call him Bob. Or Eustace?

dutch courage

brand Concept for some gin

The brand leans into its cheeky duality: apothecary-inspired packaging nods to gin’s medicinal history, while bold typography and irreverent copy ("Prescription strength confidence") reframe "Dutch courage" as a toast-worthy virtue. It’s for the wallflower at the cocktail party, the jittery public speaker, and the romantics who need a nudge toward charm—because sometimes, courage isn’t mustered… it’s poured.

A spirit (in every sense) for those who know the secret: liquid courage works best when the bottle is as impeccable as the buzz.

SKYE HIGH

A playful PRODUCT CONCEPT

I've also been working on a fun concept for a premium vodka brand. The idea is to convey the clarity and purity of premium vodka. this brand has a hot air balloon that is like a mascot. The balloon floats lazily above the clouds and mountain streams. What is especially playful is that, when the balloon floats above a clear mountain lake, it reflects a perfect image of a bottle. This is what informs the design of the product itself.

GREAT SCOT!

the “Oh great scotch” brand concept

"Oh Great Scotch" is a premium whiskey that playfully nods to the exclamation "Great Scott!"—blending heritage with a twist of wit. This exceptional Scotch whisky delivers rich, bold flavors worthy of its name, appealing to both connoisseurs and those who appreciate a clever pun. With sleek packaging and a tagline like "A dram worthy of exclamation!", it turns every sip into a moment of delightful surprise.

CAn-HIGH-BISCUS

A little elevation
for the curious mind

I've been working on a brand concept that verges the cannabis industry and the spirits/beverage industry. This is a beverage that entices the curious mind. Made from 100% hibiscus juice with a gentle nudge of THC infused into it. It's called, "CanHighBiscus" which is a fun pun that informs the product design (a can), THC which makes you just a wee bit "high" and hibiscus.

Painting with Bronze patina

I've always been a maker. This particular project was very satisfying. I love the process of creating traditional bronze sculpture—especially applying the patina. So I used that as a medium. I cut out some aluminum sheet metal, used traditional bronze patina paint (oil based) and a big old torch to apply the brush strokes. Then I added extra-shiny linear marks (using a dremel)—thus creating a mixed-media effect that makes the entire composition "pop". I think I'll have to revisit this particular medium and create a little series.
